Community Hub
Community Hub
The Community Hub is the heart of our charity, bringing together teachers, community members, and volunteers to share skills, knowledge, and lived experience. It is a space for learning, collaboration, and empowerment for people of all ages.
The hub includes a Wonder Garden, supporting food security through the growing of food and cash crops. With guidance from our team, schools and communities are encouraged to establish their own vegetable gardens, building sustainable solutions to hunger. Seedlings are provided to support long-term impact.
For children, the hub offers a safe, creative environment rooted in a child-centred approach. Through play, exploration, and the arts—including music, dance, drama, and visual art—children are supported to discover their talents and grow in confidence.
Achievements in the Last Decade
Rescuing a failing school
Restoring hope through education, we stepped in to rescue a failing school and transform it into a safe, supportive place for learning. Our work focuses on creating meaningful change by nurturing every child with care, love, and reassurance. We have also improved the quality of daily meals, ensuring children are well-nourished and ready to learn. Through child-centred teaching approaches and an enhanced learning environment, we are helping children regain confidence, thrive academically, and look forward to a brighter future.
Restoring Hope Within the Community
We provided reassurance to a community that had lost hope. Many parents were struggling, and some turned to alcohol as despair grew. Through meaningful parental involvement, B Creativity helped rebuild trust and restore a sense of purpose. As parents began to see hope for their own future, they also regained confidence in their children’s education, strengthening the foundation for lasting change.
Teacher Training & Development
We organise regular teacher training sessions that are warmly welcomed by staff. These sessions focus on boosting morale, promoting health and safety within the school environment, strengthening behaviour management, and improving teaching methods—particularly in phonics. By investing in teachers, we enhance the quality of education and create a stronger, more supportive learning experience for every child.
International Exchange Programmes
We organise successful UK–Uganda exchange programmes involving students, teachers, and headteachers from the UK. These programmes focus on sharing skills and experiences, supporting the development of school infrastructure, and providing much-needed resources. The exchanges create meaningful impact for local school communities while also offering valuable learning and personal growth opportunities for the visiting teams.
Supporting Children in Poverty
We support children from families living below the poverty line by meeting their essential educational needs. This includes covering tuition fees, providing school uniforms, and supplying vital scholastic materials, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and succeed.
Creativity Centre
In 2012, we established a unique Creativity Centre designed to inspire and empower children, young people, schools, and families. The centre provides a safe and inclusive space where learning, creativity, and wellbeing come together.
Our facilities include a fully stocked library, IT room, physical activity space, music room, children’s theatre and dance studio, alongside a thriving garden growing over 80 varieties of food and crops. Through these resources, the centre nurtures talent, encourages self-expression, and promotes practical life skills.
The Creativity Centre has inspired lasting change, motivating individuals and communities to develop improved facilities of their own, including initiatives such as KK Gardens (insert link).
